About this product

A guide and a journal for following the Moon through every night of 2027, for someone who knows nothing about it yet, with every date printed for your own clock.

Moon calendars disagree with each other mostly because each prints one time zone. A full moon at 7:04 pm in New York is 00:04 the next day in London, so a calendar made for one country gets the date wrong for the other. In 2027, 16 of the year's 49 new moons, full moons and quarters fall on a different date somewhere between the UK and the four mainland US time zones. This book prints every one of them for all five clocks, with daylight saving already applied, so you never convert anything.

What it does

  • Teaches the Moon from zero. Why it changes shape, the names of the eight shapes, where and when to look for each one, why the dates move every year, what an eclipse is, where the full moons' old names come from, and what astrologers mean by "the Moon is in Taurus". Diagrams, sky scenes and two worked examples you can check against the real sky.
  • Gives you every date of 2027, right for where you live. Every phase, eclipse, equinox and solstice, and every one of the Moon's 160 changes of sign, for UK time and US Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time.
  • Gives you somewhere to write. A dated page for each of the 13 new moons (an intention and a first step) and each of the 12 full moons (a look back, and what you saw in the sky), with questions tied to that moment and that sign.

Each month

Five pages: the full moon's traditional name and story with moonrise times for a city in each clock; a calendar with every evening's Moon drawn as it will look, plus the best evenings to look up from the UK and from the US (the first crescent, the Moon beside Jupiter or the Pleiades); the Moon's signs for the month; a new-moon page; a full-moon page. February and August add eclipse pages, including a map of the 2 August total solar eclipse and its times across the UK.

What you download

  • Every Moon of 2027 (95 pages, PDF, US Letter): the whole book, in colour, with bookmarks and a contents page. Prints on A4 with "fit to page".
  • Moon Logs (ZIP of five PDFs, 25 pages each): a printable day-by-day log of 2027, one per clock (UK on A4; US Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific on US Letter). Each line has the date, that evening's Moon, its sign and any sign change with the time, every phase and event with its time, and space for a note.

Good to know

  • Every time was calculated from NASA's JPL ephemeris for this book and checked: all 49 phases against the US Naval Observatory's table and NASA's Horizons system (within a minute), sign changes against Horizons, eclipses against NASA's eclipse catalogue.
  • Astrology and moon ritual are presented as traditions people use for reflection, labelled as such. The book makes no predictions. The full-moon names are folklore, and the book says where each comes from.
  • Eclipse safety follows NASA's guidance (eclipse glasses meeting ISO 12312-2).
  • Daylight saving dates are those in law in October 2026. The dates are for 2027 only.
  • This is a digital download. No physical book is shipped.
