About this product

A book for one child at one wedding: yours.

If a child aged about 3 to 8 is going to be your flower girl, page boy, ring bearer, sign carrier or train holder, this is the book to give them. It tells them what will happen on the day, in the right order and in your wedding's own words, so nothing comes as a surprise. It shows them how to do their job and gives them ways to practice at home. It keeps them busy through the long waits. Afterwards it becomes their keepsake of the day.

Their names on every page

Type the child's name, what they call the two of you, the date, the place and a few details once, on the plan page, and they appear all through the story: "Guess what, Maya? Auntie Rose and Sam are getting married!" Type on a computer in a free PDF reader, save, and print. Or print the book blank and write the names in by hand: every line has a small label underneath saying what goes there. More than one child in the wedding? Change the name and print again.

What is inside (50 pages)

Before the wedding

  • For grown-ups: how the book works, the plan page to fill in first, and a page of practical help for the day (the outfit, real or pretend rings, petals and venues, snacks, a quiet corner, and what to do if they will not walk).
  • Your wedding story: twelve picture pages that walk the child through the day, from hearing the news to the thank-you hug, each with a "try it together" prompt.
  • Words you will hear: a picture dictionary of aisle, vows, rings, bouquet, confetti, reception, speeches, toast and more.

Getting ready

  • How to do your job, in pictures and three steps: carrying petals, carrying the rings, carrying a sign, walking hand in hand, holding the train.
  • Four games to practice the walk at home, with a practice tracker.
  • What if...? Seven worries a child has, each with a calm answer: feeling shy, dropping something, needing the bathroom, everybody looking, not wanting to walk, walking too fast, getting tired.
  • My wedding morning checklist.

On the day (every puzzle is marked 3+ or 6+)

  • Two mazes down the aisle, a picture word search and a big word search, wedding I-spy, match the shadows, five coloring pages, design a wedding outfit, the getaway car, rings-and-hearts tic-tac-toe, wedding bingo in two sizes, the guest hunt, and an answers page.

After the wedding

  • Me at the wedding, my best bits, draw the couple, my hand on the wedding day, a letter from the couple to the child, the child's thank-you, and a certificate for a wonderful job.

What you download

  • I'm in the Wedding! in US Letter (50 pages, PDF).
  • The same book in A4 (50 pages, PDF).

Both are fillable: the names and details typed on the plan page fill every matching line in the book. Both print on one side of the paper. The story and keepsake pages look best in color; the puzzles and coloring pages print well in black and white. Written in American English. This is a PDF download. No physical book is shipped.
